I enjoy a little coffee time in the morning. I leave the lights off as I sneak into the living room with my coffee, wrap myself in a blanket and sip on a hot cup of coffee.
I know that not everyone likes to drink it. Even my cats turn up their noses when they give the mug a sniff. But I enjoy it though and over the years, I have found that I enjoy trying a new blend every now and then.
While I am a fan of routines, sticking to the same flavour is something I don’t like. Switching things up is a nice change and I think it helps to prevent boredom. And who wants to be bored of coffee?
I don’t need to buy a coffee from the local Starbucks or Tim Horton’s to be happy (although a fancy mocha or frappuccino is always a nice treat). No, I am quite satisfied by a nice warm drink courtesy of my little Tassimo machine. It’s quick and it’s ready. I won’t go into the topic of the wasted plastic from all of the little discs. We’ll save that discussion for another time. Right now, we’re talking about what comes out of those discs. COFFEE.
What kind of coffee was on the menu this morning?
Second Cup CARAMELO. Yum!
For anyone who has tasted coffee, it tends to have a bitter taste but the Caramelo adds that nice touch of sweetness that makes it taste lovely.
The downside to buying Caramelo is I go through them too fast because they are so good. The discs are also on the larger size so I can only load up my stand with a couple before it begins to overflow. And when you get the flavoured coffees, they tend to put less the in package, because of the speciality aspect.
Still, I do like having a treat and as long as I ration them out, then really I should be fine. I still have my back up of the non-flavoured blends.
So, this felt like a review of Caramelo coffee. That wasn’t my intention. In fact, I’d like to use future Coffee Times to ramble while I sip on my drink in the morning. Perhaps I’ll tell you about what is in the mug for the day, but really, it would be a good place to talk about plans. Maybe I’ll give you a little insight into what is to come with the blog?
Today was merely an introduction to how much I love my coffee so you understand why I plan on dedicating an entire series to What’s Brewing. I hope to see you back here soon.
